[Third Person Template] 6DOF Gimbal Lock problem.

I’ll probably come back to this in a few days, because I wasted an entire day trying to work it out 2 days ago, and I just ended up incredibly disheartened and frustrated :frowning:

@Dividual:
The problem is that when moving the camera’s pitch up near the 90 or -90 degree points, the character starts to spin on it’s yaw to try and compensate for the movement of the pitch beyond the gimbal lock position, thus spinning around 180 degree’s when reaching the poles (90, -90).

@Paradoc:
As far as rotating static mesh objects, that seems to be ok, but when it comes to the Third Person character, with a camera attached to the head position, it’s a different story, as soon as the camera gets to the pole’s, it flips out, as does the character mesh itself.
I think I understand what you mean. But at the same time, I’m not too sure. A screenshot would help :slight_smile:
