Thank you very much for your feedback! I’m glad you found the concept and trailer compelling. I’m open to discussing the details further and exploring collaboration opportunities with the interested party, preferably through a face-to-face conversation.
For those interested in diving deeper, I’ve shared a more detailed exploration of the story’s plot on my project page:
“The Reaper” captures the atmosphere of dark Scandinavian mythology, wrapped in a more mature and somber narrative. I know that almost no one reads scripts, but you can find there that the only way to lift the Huldra’s blood curse… is death. As the ode says: “And beneath the yew - my voice will also fade”
Everyone has their own goals. Havengrimr answers the Huldra’s call but loses his soul in battle with Hel’s guardian, becoming her servant. To reignite his flame, he sets out to absorb the lives of Hel’s stillborn children - those who had once annihilated their own kind - and, by killing them all, breaks free from her will.
By the end of the story, Havengrimr truly kills the Huldra, releasing her soul, and destroys the ancient yew tree, cutting Hel off from the source of her power - the life force of her spawn. However, this act leads him into a final battle he cannot survive… one that ultimately opens the gates of Valhalla to him.
