can i know what method u use for the dynamic global illumination?

I’m using temporally the experimental LPV from UE4; with the right settings it works fine. :slight_smile:

And answering, wasn’t easy, my PC is slow, only recompiling the shaders and my old settings took me around 1-3 hours (Kite demo assets took 3 hours in my PC), this is the reason I use only the latest version of each release of Unreal Engine (i’m, working currently with 4.7.6 directly from the 4.5 release).

I love the new updates of Unreal Engine, works absolutely great with open world games as AQP, now I have more opportunities to do something .

Don’t take me wrong but:
Alligator+palm/banana trees & lake+pine trees shouldn’t be in the same scene.

How well do the open world assets make for game assets. I heard they take up a lot of hard drive space and graphics power.

Also, nice water shader. Was that in the open world pack too?

I had to reduce the number of polygons of some assets (and create new LODs) to increase performance. :slight_smile:
The Water Shader is a modification of “water planes” Blueprint (you can download it in the Learning tab).

BTW, I’m trying to recreate some scenes from Koola’s work for my game, I’m feeling inspired. :slight_smile:

I know it’s a bit of a dumb question but will this game be free to play or atleast some kind of demo? also adding CO-OP or Multiplayer would be a nice idea.

The game will be on Steam, will have a price and yeah, a press demo and other version (closed beta) for my Indiegogo funders is in the way.

Where is the direction fo the game? Not to be rude but a game any game can look good with time, its the game play/story/mechanics that should sell it. so what does yours offer? I am just curious because you dont speak much about the game other then showing the look of it off. So what does it offer

About the Story: All you need to know is that Steve (The main character) is an ex-soldier expert in combat with weapons and his big nemesis Dorian is an old friend of war and a powerful politician.

In a mission as detective in a try to disarm the mob, Steve lost his memory… The life of the mob boss was saved by a confused Steve…

Here begins a series of adventures for Steve where there will be all kinds of missions and experiences.

About The gameplay: The game is an Open World, you have horses, vehicles, military vehicles,helicopters, airplanes, Jetpacks and more.

The player can climb walls, use the grappling hook, rifles, pistols, even boomerangs. You can use money for buy weapons, You can play as secret agent (steal mode).

The game will have races, heist, a good story and of course multiplayer.

For now I’m working with the animations. Soon I’ll reveal a gameplay trailer, not now but soon :slight_smile:

For now I’m working now with my brother (and a big impulse by FTC) , of course some friends (7 and two Mid-end PCs) helped in the project (UDK Stage), yeah, I need more time for a great game, this is my most important project, the green light for create my own company.

My PC is not helping but AQP is on the way. :slight_smile:

What fps you get with your pc specs you are describing on the editor and ingame? I am having the same build with 1 step forward on the GPU and 6gb of ram currently.

How did you created these trees, it looks very nice?

Is any form of the game you’ve built playable yet? Even if it’s just walking around?

30- 40 fps (city and AI) and 25 - 30 fps (forest and AI) - Epic settings (I have a lot of work here :rolleyes: )

They’re created in 3DS Max and others with Speedtree, I’m using 1 tree in the trailer from the Kite demo Assets (variation of trees)

Is playable (yep), but is still in alpha phase, I’m fusing the game mechanics with a really nice kit (available in marketplace soon).
