Hi all,
Still using 4.4.3 atm, and finding some very odd peculiarities when using terrain tools on certain areas, please see flv video:

Any idea what causes this and how to fix it ?
Thx

Does it also happen when you look vertically on the landscape + paint?
If I use sculpt or smooth , straight over terrain ( directly top down as you suggested) or even paint mode, then ya it still does it.
I almost feel like apologizing, given I seem to have my share issues with terrain editing, but at least I fixed it with smooth tool < can’t use detail smooth >, but now this.
If I’m to upgrade to 4.6 and I’m certainly willing to, I must know if stuff like this has been fixed, or if its not that, I kinda need to know why its happening
Cheers

Is it the same map that you have sent to me? -> currently not abel to reproduce your problem
(pretty strange -> had the same thing during the beta, but I solved it with looking vertically on the terrain)
Its the same map yes, edited over time so its changed .
Is there any chance its my GPU , but if thatg were true why wouldn’t I see similar things with the unity editor. I mean they aren’t all that different when it comes to editing terrain, short of the math I guess and other classes the various engines use to visualize terrain and edit it.
If I knew it was my GPU, my HD 7750 Id be wiling to put my GTX 8800 back in , which is a bit older but its NVidia instead of amd and see if odd things still happen.
I use my HD gpu mainly because its similar in power but uses less than half the watts
If it were any other hardware, then I should again, see similar errors pop up using unity.
thx
