SVN and Multi-User Edit Version 4.23

Hi

I hope someone can help me. We’d like to start an Project with some Team Users. But the person are not located in one Network. Some people work at Home. So my question or problem is:

  1. SVN Server working with Subversions (Just all at same project is not really working) because we want to work togehter in the same project.

  2. Multi User Editing ist just working with local Server right? I am not founding a Server Service for that. Or how can we use it? We need an VPN or can we fix that on another solution?

And when we have Multi User Editing we not need SVN anymore?
