Hi, I have a question about the posibility to subdivide characters for animation (not for video games) like maya when makes a render, I´m not talking about nanite, but also making animation character and then use some catclark subdivision? thanks for your answer in advise. Cheers!!
Hey there @Desktruktor! Welcome to the community! Using the mesh editing tools, you can subdivide static meshes with ease and decent customizability.
Though Unreal isn’t hyper specialized as a 3D art pipeline so it’s still recommended to use a third party application specialized in working with SKMs, as the skeletal mesh editor isn’t as robust, I would check in the mesh editing portion to see if there is a subdivision element:
