Streaming Video URI without extension

I trying for months already to get it work on streaming.
In 4.8.1 i can add a http link but it only shows the playtime in the media player it does not do anything.

Probably wrong format (H.264?)

Try MPEG-4 or WMV on Windows, or check out the VLC plug-in.

Hello,
We need to play an rtsp:// url video as a texture in Unreal Engine.
Is this possible? We have tried setting the full url in the MediaPlayer objcet Source field, but nothing happens. Only works playing local files (mp4).
Can you please let us know what can we do to play this video streams inside unreal engine on a texture. We need to implement this for Windows and Android (GearVR).
