STAR WARS™ Callout – Submissions Open April 17

From April 17, 2026 at 12 PM ET through April 24, 2026 at 12 PM ET, you can submit your STAR WARS™-inspired islands for a chance to be featured in limited-time STAR WARS rows in Discover once publishing opens on May 1. https://www.fortnite.com/news/star-wars-tools-now-live-for-fortnite-developers-create-your-galaxy-today

Selection Criteria
We’re on the lookout for islands that:

Deliver an immersive STAR WARS experience
Let players step into a recognizable role or adventure. Whether that’s becoming a Jedi, facing off against enemies, exploring a distant world, or taking part in an iconic STAR WARS–inspired scenario, keep it authentically in theme.

Meaningfully incorporate STAR WARS gameplay features
STAR WARS characters, Lightsabers, Force abilities, and other STAR WARS assets and tools must be core to gameplay, not just visual additions.

Showcase STAR WARS-inspired environments
Environments, tone, and gameplay should feel cohesive and grounded in the spirit of STAR WARS, while showcasing strong creative worldbuilding.

Support cooperative or competitive gameplay that’s innovative
Design experiences that encourage engaging player interactions within the STAR WARS theme.

Provide clear onboarding and accessible gameplay for a wide audience
Players should quickly understand their role, objectives, and mechanics.

Submission Requirements
For your application to be considered, here’s what you need to know:

  • Developers may submit one island for consideration
  • All islands are welcome — brand new or already published — but they must be built using the STAR WARS assets from the IP program.
  • Your island should be fully functional, well-designed, polished, and meet the criteria listed above.

Your submission must include videos such as:

  • A fly-through of the entire island
  • One round of gameplay
  • A trailer

How To Submit

  1. Go to the Submission form https://creative.fortnite.com/s
  2. Select “STAR WARS Callout” from the drop-down menu
  3. Submit between April 17, 2026 at 12pm ET and April 24, 2026 at 12pm ET

UPDATE (4/22):

If you are using the new lightsaber customization in your island, please send us a private code only. These islands MUST be published on May 1st in order to be considered for the callout.

How to make a private code in UEFN:

  1. Launch a Session and Stop Game: Open your project in UEFN, click Launch Session to start Fortnite, then immediately End Game in the viewport to return to the edit session.
  2. Run Memory Calculation: From the top toolbar, go to Project > Launch Memory Calculation. This ensures your island is within the 100,000 memory budget.
  3. Upload to Private Version: Once the memory calculation is done, navigate to Project > Upload to Private Version.
  4. Get the Code: In the pop-up window, click Upload. Once complete, a private island code will be generated that can be shared with us.

Hey Flak,

Thank you! It is great!

However, trailers are now mandatory for Epic Picks since the form redesign.

Thank you for catching, sir!

Hello!
Is it one island by Fornite Creator team, or can we submit more than one island for consideration?

24 Days to make a polished unique island .. make 2 videos AND a trailer? Guys.. please extend the submission for this and the publishing for the islands. This is incredibly tight time. *Waves hand across*

As a person who doesn’t have access to a PC, but Is highly creative, and a great board game designer. I am reaching out to any epic employees or CREATORS who want to partner on making a star wars map. It doesn’t matter if we finish by the deadline. Our map will be the main driver for star wars creative. That is how confident and proud I am in this idea. If you have the strength to seize the opportunity please reach out to me..through to force or DMs, and we will create a map/mode the kike of which the Jedi/EPIC has ever seen.

We will have a NDA while making the map because spoilers would kill the hype, and or thieves would steal the idea.

All profits are for my partners to make. As I am in it only for the credit and to see my dream fulfilled.

All profits on the map with be made respectfully and non malicious. Will not be PTW. Will align with the lore of map.

Example that will generate income immediately and effortlessly. (If they choose to do this)

We will have a hidden item that you may spend 100-200 vbuck to wipe the map. Causing a draw/ game over. If you are a star wars fan you could possibly know what I reference here.

Please, Fortnite community. You are my only hope.

I would like to submit my island to the STAR WARS Callout.

However, after updating to v40.20, I encountered an error related to STAR WARS assets when attempting to proceed with publishing.
Because of this, I am unable to complete the publishing process and cannot obtain an Island Code.

At the same time, the submission form requires an Island Code as a mandatory field.

Given that it is currently not possible to obtain an Island Code in v40.20, how should I proceed in this situation?
I would appreciate your guidance on how to submit my application.

Hi Flak,

Hope you’re doing well!

I have a couple of questions about the “fly-through of the entire island” requirement for the STAR WARS Callout.

1.Is it acceptable to use debug fly mode to record the fly-through?
This would allow me to properly showcase the animations and VFX without any obstructions. Recording it in-game from a player perspective (with the phone in hand) makes it almost impossible to see anything because the island is full of devices that block the view.

2.Alternatively, can I record the fly-through directly in the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) using the panoramic view or a cinecamera?
This would give a clean and smooth aerial tour of the whole island.

I want to make sure I meet the requirements and deliver a video that best highlights the work done on the island.

Thank you so much in advance for the clarification — it’s really appreciated!

Best regards

This is fine!

I have another question for you! My map doesn’t have a full round, time is stretched with random events that last several minutes, and for me it’s impossible to show everything. Is it possible to make cuts to the gameplay to show the different events?

@Flak Sorry but can you clarify the island code for the callout? There seems to be a little confusion here and on the UEFN discord. I know private codes are not acceptable for epic’s picks but are they for the callout? If they are not then that means we would have to schedule a release for a code. But when I go to do that I can’t because force powers and lightsabers are still marked @experimental.

That means I would have to remove them to get a code but one of the criteria of the callout says “Meaningfully incorporate STAR WARS gameplay features STAR WARS characters, Lightsabers, Force abilities, and other STAR WARS assets - .”

So it feels a little confusing and like I might be missing something. Thanks for the help!

Also fine.

Thank you!! I have one last clarifying question… If we submit a private island code are we locked into that version for the final publish on the call out? I would like to use the last week before publishing to make some tweaks and final polishing. But that would require new memory calcs and would create a new private island code than the one I would be submitting tomorrow.

Bumping this

@Flak Any chance for a short extension for creators still wanting to submit games for the Callout?

You will have to drop the Hidden item for vbucks part due to Star Wars brand rules since “All Star Wars islands must comply with the Star Wars Brand Rules and do not support in-island transactions.”

I forgot to send the submission… :upside_down_face: ggs to me… I thought It was due 4/24/26 12AM as in Afternoon… (I didn’t think it was due at 12pm
