Side scroller platformer - cinematics

That blue blob in the BP that has Target written on the left and Root Component on the right. Just click on it and delete it.

Then drag the pin on the cube ref and choose SetRelativeLocation again. It should have ‘static mesh component’ in brackets.

Actually, I don’t think that bit matters.

Just to check something I was assuming… You are pressing play, right ( as in play the game )?

I think im doing it wrong. I have deleted the “Target//Root Component” thing and then i have connected again the cube with the SetRelativeLocation and its still Root Component

Like I say, it works with root comp or static mesh ( I tried ). Is the box moving at all? Are you pressing play and playing the game?

For now, position your platform at 0,0,0 and then run again…

Right!.. It’s because the example I gave you was the most simple one. The one where the object is at the origin.

I will give you a couple of tweaks to move it wherever it is, gimme 2…
