Currently, SharpText doesn’t support custom materials. This feature was requested before and it’s in development. If you have c++ knowledge, you can always modify the plugin yourself to add this feature though.
Hello I am trying to use the msdf font generator to generate a custom font. But it is giving me errors. I’ve currently tried with two different fonts but none of them worked. Would be great if you could take a look at that.
Can you send me the font you are trying to upload? support@sumfx.net
Hi, any idea when the 4.22 version will be available?
Hi, it’ll be submitted next week.
SharpText is now 4.22 compatible.
Thanks for the plugin. It works well.
Are we able to turn off the logo.
I’m very interested in using this, but does it work on IOS/Android? I see some posts about it not working on Android fully, but nothing on IOS. It looks like it comes with source so we could at least use it as a starting point for those platforms if it’s not in your short term (very short term) roadmap to fix.
Great looking plug-in!
Hi,
Unfortunately, I don’t have a roadmap for mobile. At least for now. But as you said, you can always alter its source code for your needs.
SharpText 1.4 is now available!
unrealengine.com/marketplace/sharptext
Starting from this (UE4.26ST1.4) version, SharpText is now a fully blueprint system. This means it’s no longer listed in the marketplace and in your launchers as a code plugin. If you were already using SharpText until 4.26 and want to update to this new version (UE4.26ST1.4), you might need to do some refactoring in places referencing SharpText actor to adjust the new relations between other actors and the new SharpText blueprint object. @SUMFX How does it behave when TAA and Motion Blur are enabled? Is text blurry? I would like it to stay sharp…
If you are using the default render graph and also using world space shading for texts, there’s no way to avoid that.
Hi @SUMFX !
I just bought the pack and installed it in my project - the text looks great! However, when I change the Horizontal Alignment in a multiline SharpText, it does not align each line of the multiline text. Instead, the lines remain left-justified, and the entire paragraph is simply translated so the pivot point is centered in the paragraph.
The same is true when setting Horizontal Alignment to Right. The entire block of text is now to the right of the pivot point, but the text in the paragraph is still left-justified.
Is it possible to center-justify the lines of text in a multi-line field relative to each other?
Also, I noticed that the plugin has added two large items to the right-click menu - can I disable these? I don’t need to add them so often that they justify the additional size added to my menu, particularly because I run often on my laptop where screen real-estate is a commodity
Thanks for the plugin - the text looks much nicer!
Cheers,
Dale
Hi,
Where have previous versions gone ?
I now have 4.25 projects that I cannot open because sharptext 4.25 is not available
Please make earlier versions available
Thanks Paul G
Hi,
Starting from 4.26, SharpText is a blueprint-only system now. And unfortunately, the marketplace doesn’t allow both at the same time. Please drop me an email at support@sumfx.net so we can move on to resolve this.
Thanks.
