Sector БК-3 ║ Reunion ║

Thank you, sir, for your feedback. Honestly, I don’t know exactly how much time it took altogether, but overall, it may have been a few weeks of work. I was working on it for a few months during my paid job. I also needed to learn some new techniques and programs to achieve the desired result. I had to play with the sound, sync everything together, and create a cohesive story behind it. So, yeah, it was pretty tough. There were a few times when I thought I’d never finish it. But it’s here now, and I don’t plan to give up on it anymore.

I love it. I truly love everything that’s happening right now about Unreal Engine and the 3d scene. There’s so much innovation like plasticity, better photogrammetry, the incredible Niagara VFX system, Tyflow, etc. My idea is to create a comprehensive system that connects different sectors and adds specific functions and concepts. I’m not entirely sure what the end result will be, but this idea has been in my mind for a few years, and I’m determined to bring it to life.

The idea originated when I was listening to Aphex Twin’s track ‘Reunion 2,’ and I can’t get it out of my mind since then. Simultaneously, I’m working on a physical model inspired by the same concept. I’m tired of all the copy-paste projects I see; there’s so much room for experimentation, creating new worlds, playing with landscapes, drawing inspiration from nature and the architecture of heavy machinery, ironworks, dams, … I plan to include a flythrough of the scene because the video might distort how the scene truly looks. I also want to give credit to the creators of the ‘Electric Dreams’ environment; it matches my idea perfectly, and I felt like they covered the natural environment, while what was missing was the architecture.

Now, I’ve started working on two new scenes, and hopefully, I’ll be able to complete them soon. The only limitation is time. Yeah, people often ask me how long it takes. Well, it takes a lot of time, but when you truly love it, time doesn’t matter. You just have to finish it before you die.
