Is it made with 4.7 preview? apparently the foliage instancing as been improved a lot in 4.7. Can’t wait to test!
Also, in 4.6 they added : Precomputed lighting and shadows are now supported on foliage objects and instanced meshes! allows for very efficient rendering in scenes with stationary or static lights.
