's Particle Toolkit Vol. 1

Hey everyone! I put this pack on a 33% sale!

be sure to check it out! the sale will end the 15th
https://.com/watch?v=aMg13Pe5SgM

As of today I am officially done restructuring this package along with adding much more content to it to make it even more worth your while!

I totally restructured the folders, redid a lot of the materials, improved upon them, added neat new content and more!
The restructuring was mainly done to give the package more the appearance of an actual toolbox, so no more per-day structure, but proper sorted meshes, proper sorted textures, etc, etc.

To give you an idea what changed, this was the previous content list:

[]
So… whats in this package?

  • 28 Particle effects.
  • 12 additional effects that where left over/not used during my particle-a-day project. (wind effects, explosions)
  • 13 Normal maps for UV distortion.
  • 25 Noise Textures, each filled with RGB and occasionally Alpha channels. (so that makes at least 75 noise textures)
  • At least 15 other RGB channel filled masks/textures.
  • 31 custom Static Vector Fields.
  • 110 static meshes usable for mesh-based particle effects. (and 10 more random meshes)
  • 8 Showcase levels. (Divided per week,and 4 screen-filling effects)

And what I consider the most valuable aspect of this package:

  • 9 Material functions!
    [/]

and now this list is like this:

So… whats in this package?

  • 67 Particle effects.

  • 200 textures that can be used for a variety of effects.

  • 11 flip-books

  • 9 gradients

  • 23 masks

  • 38 RGB Channel Noise Textures, each RGB filled.

  • 45 Normal maps for UV distortion.

  • 30 gray-scale noise textures

  • 50+ textures of the random variety (sprites, noise, normal, detail, etc)

  • A few other textures (baked for models, uncatagorized)

  • 43 custom Static Vector Fields.

  • 180 static meshes usable for mesh-based particle effects.

  • 147 materials (for effects, models, etc)

  • 77 material instances.

  • 6 Sounds. (created by Jan Kaluza)

  • 5 Showcase levels. better catagorized.
What I consider the most valuable aspect of this package:

  • 25 Material functions, WITH examples for most functions.
And additionally 14 blueprints for showcasing the content, all approved by Celeste from Panda Studios!

I am submitting this updated package as you are reading this, but due to the heavy restructuring/renaming loads of content there might be quite some back&forth between me and before it goes life.
I will update the main post with new videos and information when it becomes available!

And a new video is now also a thing:
https://.com/watch?v=CI3VYNawR8Q

big update! (and warning)

The pack, even the restructure and renaming of files has been accepted.
It might take a short while before the pack is up and I will keep you updated.
Keep in mind though that if you are already using the pack in your project it might be wise to not overwrite it with the new one as it might mess things up.
This imho is a small price to pay for all the new content and clearer folder structures.

Once the pack is closer to being released I will explain in more detail what will happen and what the best approach will be.

The new update is available now!

Hey !

I need to know before but it. there is any example of hit particles in the pack? like when the player hit an enemy npc?

Not really, if you want to use the pack as a toolbox, there are enough meshes, textures, and materials in the pack to try and make it yourself.
But if you want a ready & done effect, no… no real hit particle effects.

Surprised no one else has said it, but thank you ! Been waiting for the update since you announced it, and the pack was fine before, but I am much happier about my purchase now. Particularly glad you included the plasma orb!

Hey Remdale! glad you enjoy the package!
And I agree, the pack now really feels like proper value now

how much you want to show me how you made luos_mask_distorter

As I have told you on before you started spamming me on a lot of videos, there is a tutorial for it on my page (you even replied on that specific video as well).
You even replied on the video that contains the radial distortion --which you can download for free-- that you wanted to pay 35 cents for it trough paypal.
because you spammed me so much I blocked you on my social media, and now you are pestering me here.
that shows me enough signs to decide to not interact with you.

If you cannot read, nor simply follow the instructions explained in the video, nor click on the link to download the content, then its out of my hands.

Where can I buy this effect? (I see you have a tutorial on how to create it and I will follow it but I wanted to support you  ) Also, any tips on how to add ripple effect around it (maybe it’s called field force or distortion effect?) that travel along the growing electric doom to make it more powerful?

Many thanks

Hey , its part of this package
There are some refraction-ripple effects in the package which you can add to the effect in cascade as well

Hello guys, I saw in the description that the target platform is Windows, but was wondering if there is a way to use this amazing toolkit in a project for mobile and in other platforms.
Would someone know about this?

,

Would it be possible to change the particle effects to play on loop, rather than just starting and disappearing? For example, I am trying to use the “Par_FlowerBulb” as a test piece. I am assuming I have to go into the “BP_FXLoopActor”. And what do I need to change in it? It says template and static mesh, but it didn’t work for me.

Not trough the blueprint at least, you’d need to change the lifetime in the emitter itself: Creating Visual Effects in Niagara for Unreal Engine | Unreal Engine 5.1 Documentation
But if you set that to infinite/zero it wont fade in because it uses all sorts of “over life” modules.
You’d need to either control the shader trough a blueprint to make it appear, or give the flower a crazy long lifetime and tweak any “over life” value accordingly.

while not fully related, for another pack someone asked me how to increase the lifetime on a mesh, and I made this video:
https://.com/watch?v=KLpCjGqPAzw that should get you going.
