Roughness rendering incorrectly?

Hey everyone, I’m running into a weird issue where my roughness values are rendering darker in the scene / material than it appears in the texture. Now I know what you’re thinking:

Is sRGB unchecked? > Yes, and compression is set to BC7 (tried masks as well, no luck)
Is the Texture Sampler Type set to Linear Color? > Also yes
The texture is also an 8bit TGA exported from Substance Painter.

Having these two settings has always worked for me in the past, but now I seem to be unable to get it to output correctly. What’s especially weird is that in the material if I preview the mask it looks correct in the graph but as soon as I plug it into the roughness master output it becomes darker - though it actually reads correctly if I put it into the base color output (see below).


Thoughts? It almost feels like there is some sort of render setting changing things. That or I just missed something dumb.
