Hi i have been building up my project for 5+ months now, i deleted another project that was not needed but for some reason i also lost my other project, is there anyway for me to get the project back as i have put so much time and effort into it i also applied for the mega grant for that project. please help.

What OS? Windows and mac both have a kind time machine now. Did you set that up?
If you didn’t, I think the only chance you have is to stop using the editor and get one of these file restoration programs ( the folder is still on your disk, but marked as deleted ). Something like:
I’m not necessarily recommending that, but that kind of thing. If you are going to do that, do it soon. The longer you wait, the more chance you have of new files overwriting the old ones…
Maybe look a bit more closely at Recuva, maybe you’re missing something. UE removes projects so fast, it must just be unlinking the folder, so I assume it’s still there somewhere…

i didn’t back it up as i’ve never had problems like this is anyway before, im using windows but didn’t know about the time machine thing, i did get recuva but didn’t work as when i opened the project it was empty so now im just hoping for the best
thing is the project i removed was using 4.21 and my project was in 4.23 so gotta be some kinda bug
yeh theres a deep scan option that takes over 4 hours but still nothing, when i do the scan it even shows that some files can’t be recovered
yeh so think i’ll try starting again with the project
