Requesting console/platform access for Unreal Engine

Article written by Laura B.

To begin the process of requesting console access for Unreal Engine, please submit the following form: Unreal Engine Forms

After the form has been submitted, Epic requires a confirmation of your console development status in order for us to grant source code and support access for each requested console platform. If you require access, please follow the steps below to submit the necessary confirmation.

Confirmation Processes

  • Xbox One & Xbox Series X: Contact your Microsoft account representative requesting they send an email to consoles@unrealengine.com confirming your status and referencing your email address.
  • Playstation 4: Sign into your account on the Playstation Partners Portal, go to the Playstation 4 DevNet, click through Development > Tools & Middleware > Tools & Middleware directory > Unreal Engine 4. Click the ‘Confirm Status’ button.
  • Playstation 5: Sign into your account on the Playstation Partners Portal, go to the Playstation 5 DevNet, and submit a post requesting confirmation sent to Epic Games for access to UE4 for PS5.
  • Nintendo Switch: Sign into your account on the Nintendo Developer Portal, click through Getting Started > Nintendo Switch Middleware > Unreal Engine: Learn More. Complete and submit the form.
  • Google Stadia: Contact your Google account representative requesting they send an email to consoles@unrealengine.com confirming your status and referencing your email address.

Please note that if you require console access for the Epic Online Services (EOS) instead of Unreal Engine, that can be accomplished by completing this form.
