You can for example change the size of the rain particles, the strength of the rain and the radius of the area in which it rains. What in particular are you wanting to change?
Are you using the True Sky Light?
You can adjust the brightness power setting in the sky layer to make it dimmer at night.
Are you using the binary installer? If so, which branch? I’ll look into .
Both the latest binary installer and the github source produce the same. It eventually just… Went away? (After like 7-8 different UnrealEditor sessions) I have no idea.
No and no; it persisted across all view modes, with all post-process disabled, etc. It flickered into place about once every second or so, but would primarily be sideways.
Hi all,
We are looking for some high quality screenshots of . Anybody who has any images that shows
off please show us and we may put them on the website!
Warning said me that my project need plugin. I have installed the latest version (published 3th august) but that doesn’t work. Nothing appear in my “plugin” option in unreal.
I downloaded the latest 4.12 executable, 4.12.4_4.0.282, and installed it on UE 4.12.5. It looks like I’m missing some Vector Parameters in the trueSkyMaterialParameters collection file. CloudShadowOrigin, CloudShadowScale and LocalWetness to name a few. Also, the sun isn’t rendering properly - see attached image. Any ideas what could be causing these issues?
The last build ending in 283 fixed the I was having with the sun. A see 3 new issues that I didn’t have in 4.11.
When the sun sets, the lighting is acting up. There isn’t a smooth transition to night - it’s like the light-switch was turned off. I can still see the sun and the landscape isn’t receiving any lighting. (See attached image)
The default size of the stars is bigger than before but I believe that can be fixed via tweaking a setting in the TrueSkySequenceAsset. If I’m wrong, please let me know. By the way, I think the sky is gorgeous during when the sun is setting.
At certain angles, my textures give off a blue-ish tint. (See attached images).
Sun is still setting and landscape isn’t receiving any light -
If so, it is undergoing some changes currently which could cause problems. You can ‘fix’ the stars if you go to the TrueSkySequenceActor and find the new Star Pixel Size setting. Just lower that.
I will make a note of your problems though and see if they’re still there when the changes are finished.
I’m not using the branch, I’m using the Simul 4.1 (stable) branch. I thought’d it be best to use the Simul 4.1 (stable) because according to the website - numbered versions get bug fixes and versions get new features. Should I be using the version instead?
Ah apologies, I didn’t realise the change to the stars was in 4.1. You should not be getting these issues but you should ideally be using a stable branch (4.1 or 4.0).
Are you using the repo or the binary installer? I’ll take a look into the problems you’re having (though I assume you managed to get the star size down via the setting I mentioned?)
I’m using the binary installer from the downloads page on the Simul site. The star size ended up not being a bug after all - your suggestion worked. The other issues still remain.
I just have a few questions if that’s okay, to help me reproduce the problems.
Are you using the True Sky Light or the default Sky Light?
Also, are you driving the sun and moon via blueprint (through the trueSKYSun/Moon or trueSkyLighting macros)?
Lastly, are the directional light(s) set up for the sun/moon set to movable?
