Hi, was there ever a good fix for rotating the sky and the directional light not facing the right direction? I’m trying out but the documentation is so out of date!
Hey guys, just wondering how long does it take for my email to get confirmed with password sent to.
Its been days, can someone let me know if it is usual to wait that long for confirmation email/password?
We are also experience sky flickering when moving the camera, both in editor and cooked version.
EDIT: Manage to solve the by reducing Metres Per Unit under the TrueSkySequenceActor. value seems to be 0.02
I download the “simul/UnrealEngine at 4.9” GitHub code and I run “Setup.bat” + “GenerateProjectFiles.bat” and build it UE4.sln with VS2015 Community but I’m getting the error warning! WHY? :
Have you tried removing the Atmosphereic Fog? You’re suppose to remove it.
Guys could someone let me know if monthly subscription for is even working? I have submited my registration but received no password from company so i cant log in their website.
We experience the same problem with the new update, had to roll back to earlier version to make it work again
: That works better Thanks!
OMG! I understand. Which version should I work with? I’m working with version “GitHub/simul/UnrealEngine at 4.9”
“GitHub/simul/UnrealEngine at 4.8”? -or- “GitHub/simul/UnrealEngine at 4.10”?
You could disable it for now, or install a earlier version of it for example, version 3.9.0.198 works Got an email from saying he’s looking into the, so it should be fixed soon I hope.
Updated to version 239 in hopes that the CLOUDS APPEARING THROUGH WALLS had finally been fixed…but now I’m getting error when launching the project. Does anyone have version 238 installer? I wish there was an alternate installer because at point, I can’t work on my game at all.
Seems like the 238 version is broken, use an earlier version until they fixed the problem
Where do I install the plugin?
“D:\Programs\Simul\SkySequencer”
-or-
“D:\Programs\Epic Games\UE4.9.2 Simul\Engine\Plugins”
-or-
“D:\Programs\Epic Games\UE4.9.2 Simul\Engine\Plugins\TrueSkyPlugin”
I would but I’m not working with github, so there doesn’t seem to be an earlier version to download. Tried GitHub but the latest 4.10 release is for 4.10.1 and nto 4.10.2. Project runs fine, so I’m guessing a lot of the issues came from the 10.2 hotfix.
EDIT: I found my solution. I just downloaded the github project. Created a new C++ project from 4.10.2. Copied the simul/ folders into Binaries and Plugins. Rebuild the project. Copied the plugin and binaries to the engine. And everything works. And the make all the stress work out, the clouds appearing through walls have been fixed. Going to try and make a payment toward Simul soon.
EDIT 2: There’s a composit with . Everything is messed up if the Metres Per Unit is set to anything but 0.001. Also there is a massive slowdown of the game for the first 15 seconds, which had never happened before. That said, I also don’t see any shadows being casted by the clouds. A fresh engine build from 4.10.1 doesn’t have problem in-game, but the problem shows up in editor. Also the shadows don’t seem to be working at all.
Guys could someone help over , when i add TrueSkySequence into scene engine crashes.
Under documentation steps are simply not working becouse “fork” link is down:
Is it perhaps not required anymore to use that step for 4.9.2?
Am i missing something?
What i do is, make new scene, add new sequence actor into scene, then make one in project folder, and then i put it in its settings required file, then engine crashes:
Thats EXACTLY the problem I had with the Installer from the simul site. No solution. I had to build from github source with the latest hotfix for your engine version (since the installer in my case was built for 4.10.1 and not 4.10.2). Still unsure what the EXACT problem is.
Sad to see the 4.9 installer is having the same.
Could you give me link for Githun source and hotfix link, the one in documentation is simply not working, its giving me error. Btw i didnt had missmatch in instaler/engine version i believe since installer is for 4.9.2 and engine version is 4.9.2 aswell.
Hello,
Sorry if is not the place, but you have no forum to ask. ¿how I can resize the moon in ? is so small (like 3 pixel of radius).
thanks!
Are you working with a full version or test version? If you have full version, you can download the binary installer files under Downloads. Its been two updates since yesterday and we still experience problems with the newest version, hopefully its fixed soon!
There should be an installer for 4.10.2 available to download now.
When you open up the sequencer, click on the ‘Sky’ name on the left side of the timeline. That will bring up the settings for the sky. There you could set the size of the Moon and its brightness.
