Downloaded and installed the latest for my test build and now there is a beautiful black box showing on the screen (with no debug options enabled). is visible in editor and in-game.
I am also getting black screen using the binary version of v4.10. Tried uninstalling and installing but still getting the same error.
Is there something else we need to setup with the binary version?
Thanks,
No, it should just work. Sorry for the problems! I’ve reproduced and hope to have a fix uploaded today.
About everything was very good to work after you upgrade the package. Thank you
Thanks for the update. Some of the fixes really help. Finally able to update the primary project to 4.10
The only problems as of now is the outstanding “Flashing Cubemaps”, “Sun facing wrong direction when Sequence is rotated” and a somewhat worse “Clouds showing through walls”. These two issues really destroy the presentation. Its hard to be confident when presenting the game to hundreds of people in less than two weeks, especially with these outstanding glitches.
Ok let’s get these fixed now. Can you contact us directly by email and I’ll set up a support session on Skype to resolve the remaining issues? Any screenshots of the problems would help greatly also.
I am having identical issues (Sky flashing, wrong sun direction and clouds through objects). If you guys figure anything out in the support session would it be possible to share?
I just send them the email. I’ll keep you and everyone updated after our skype session. Pray to Cthulhu that we can get resolved as swiftly as possible.
Hi all,
I have not yet moved from 4.9 to 4.10 pending the current issues.
I believe has shared that there is a fix now available for the rotation, however if you still on 4.9 as myself I wanted to share our workaround fixes. I hope helps someone, and am also awaiting news on the flashing and clouds sorting issues.
Cheers!
*addition an addition to the TrueSKYSunColourAndRotation macro to correct the math
*and added a ZOffset to the trueSKYLighting macro to correct if you want to rotate the actor in the scene to change where the sun is rising and setting over the horizon
I’ve not seen your message so far, did you definitely send it to [EMAIL=“”]?
At first I used the email system built into forum. Then yesterday I sent to that email. Awaiting response. Sent again today with an alternate mailing address.
How exactly does work? The reason I am wondering is so that I can get an idea of how much I can control with code.
I’m currently using ultra dynamic sky for my project but I must admit the jump in cloud visuals and ground shadowing is impressive. I’m tempted to try but had a few questions?
Compared to UDS how much difference is there (approx or accurate) in a like for like system with ? My game involves large outdoor landscapes. Is just for high end hardware? Can any users summarise how well they feel it performs for them in the real world?
Is it a pain to get up and running? I’ve not gotten involved with plugins yet beyond substance which was straight forward and I don’t know code.
There seems to be a flavour looking through thread that official help/responses can be infrequent? Is popular enough to ensure continued development and support?
Thanks for any feedback, my questions aren’t meant in a critical sense, I’m very impressed with what I’ve seen, I would like some further information though.
Regards
Slinky
Damir, is it possible you can record a video of the Sky Flashing and upload it to youtube or some easy to view source? In my case, I had a ScreenCapture2D active on my Player Pawn, causing flickering of sorts only when the camera moved. Disabling it (visibility) caused the problem to go away. I’m unsure if its the same problem your having, but I’d love to see specifically what is going on in your scene.
Regarding the wrong sun direction…created a new project, set up the scene, then the directional light moved properly. Either its some old macros left over that causing our problems, but the problem has definitely been fixed, at least in version 175.
Clouds through objects is its way to being fixed. Showed how it looks on my end and how to reproduce it. Should be fixed soon.
A scene capture was indeed responsible for my as well. Disabling it fixed it, although it still happens from time to time if I mouse over some thumbnails.
Are you going to offer a sub-free version, like you have offered for the Unity Asset store?
Is there any way to disable sun camera culling? We building distributed rendering system and it feels very weird when sun placed between the rendering channels and visible on first channel / hidden on second.
I discovered that the with clouds appearing indoors is caused by changing the Meters Per Unit to something above 0.02. Sadly, thats not a solution for me because setting the Sequence actor to those settings don’t do a good job showing off the clouds in the scene. I reached out to Monday and Tuesday with the info and requesting an estimate when the fix will be, but didn’t get a response. I’m unsure what i’m going to do when presenting the demo Friday-Sunday with such a visual problem. Two choices, change the meters, making things look less dynamic…or get rid of it all together.
