Release is planned in about two weeks.
It’s already pretty far along, just adding more assets now.

I was wondering; what do the textures look like up close? For example, if my character had his nose almost pressed against the tree bark.

This is actually using the temp detail textures.
The real redwood detail textures are in the works.

@whammes I’m not sure exactly how to describe it but something seems off. The earlier pics (and the video especially) looked great, but the new pics look off. I see it now. The brown, dead looking ferns look really weird with the green ferns and on the brown ground texture. That’s definitely it. The brown ferns look like they need work imho. Everything else looks perfect as always.

Redwood Forest in motion!

Showing the new modular rock and cliff assets as well as the waterfall material.
You can place it via the landscape spline system or use your own custom mesh asset.

The water surface automatically reacts to the angle in world space. The more of an angle you set, the faster the water will flow, generate more foam, turning into a waterfall.
