Realtime Dynamic GI + Reflections + AO + Emissive - AHR

Thanks man! I know I haven’t been active lately, but hope to start working again in ahr in the next few weeks

Hey ,

A few questions -

  1. Does AHR run on both AMD and Nvidia GPUs?
  2. Are there any drawbacks for using either AMD or Nvidia GPUs with AHR?
  3. Do you plan or intend pushing AHR to the main UE4 repo anytime soon?

I have not used AHR yet which is why I am asking.

AHR does indeed work across both brands.

3)while I haven’t asked them yet, because I feel ahr needs a bit more work, ultimately the decision is up to Epic

Does AHR work well with outdoor scenes?

I am asking as Most of the scenes I have seen for AHR has been Indoor related.

Should work ok, now that movable bounds are working. Do keep in mind that terrains aren’t supported right now.

Well the GPU on the PS4 and XboxOne are the same and can run the vanilla and modded versions of UE4 so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work on consoles only difference is the PS4 has a higher clock rate for the GPU so on XboxOne might need to be toned down a bit or overall res downscaled though considering when I had my 660GTX and it ran pretty smooth I don’t see why the PS4/XboxOne wouldn’t be able to run in be it modified a bit. PS4 gets a little GPU boost from speed and the system using GDDR5 so it’s roughly 25% stonger by raw power though it’s up to the developer really if they want to go the extra way shrugs

Ok, quick update. Finally completed my porftolio (still need to go over it and check misspelling and stuff, but if anyone wants to take a look it’s here), so now I can get back to AHR.
Have some big updates cooking up, hope to show something soon.

LPV does not so I was wondering about your implementation.

Not sure actually. Probably not, but because the (lazy and hacky) way I handle views. Need to try it and see, but fixing it shouldn’t be that hard

The link certainly does work. You need to be logged on with your account at .com and also have that linked to your UE4 account otherwise you will get a 404 error.
