RealityScan 1.7 is now available.
What’s New
-
Automatic object masking (Camera Control Mode only)
- No more walking around movable objects! You can now place your object on a turntable or rotate it in place for each picture—RealityScan Mobile will still capture it perfectly. Even better, you can flip the object mid-scan to capture hard-to-reach angles.
-
More images, better scans
- We’ve increased the photo limit from 250 to 300 images per scan. That’s 20% more coverage for your most detailed projects.
-
New image gallery features to make managing your photos easier:
- A new UI puts all your options at the bottom of the screen, where they’re easy to reach.
- The last image taken appears first, by default.
- Sort your images: newest-to-oldest or oldest-to-newest.
- Mask visibility preview is now available per image (Camera Control Mode with masking enabled). See which images need improvement and retake them easily.
- Each image is now numbered for quick reference.
-
Re-process any project
- Now you can re-process any saved project with just a tap.
- You can add more images before reprocessing to get all the right angles and improve your reconstruction.
- You also can readapt the reconstruction region on the point cloud to better fit your needs.
- Now you can re-process any saved project with just a tap.
-
Give feedback on any project
- You can now leave feedback on any project-whether it went well or not. In case something didn’t scan properly, you can give specific feedback on what went wrong - this will help us better understand what happened and improve our algorithm in future versions.
-
Updated Processing Panel
- We’ve simplified mesh settings. The “Smooth” and “Detailed” buttons are now a single toggle: Smooth Mesh, which is enabled by default. Turn it off if you want a rougher, more raw surface before processing your project.
-
New Settings Options
- Enable or disable Auto Object Masking anytime (Camera Control Mode only).
- Rate us on your app store directly from the app.
- Share RealityScan Mobile with a friend via a direct link.
