Hi, im new with RC and New with Revit. I want to know wath is the correct work flow to create a model with de real terrain (textured) and insert a build (created on revit) Like this video “Scan to BIM with RealityCapture” Scan to BIM with RealityCapture - YouTube
Hi Kranki11,
this is a little bit complex question. First, you need to know, in what resolution you want to have your results. According to it, you are choosing your equipment. To create a terrain you will need drone or aerial images. To create exterior of buildings, you will need to capture them, as it is show in the video (around them) or use a laser scanner. But for a roof, in mostly cases you will need drone. Then, for the interior, it is possible to scan it with images or laser scans. In this cases is also good to use georeferenced data and measured control points to merge the data into one coordinate system.
Then you need to process all data in RC to create a model, which can be exported in different formats. Then you can import this model into Revit and start to copying the reality on the base of it. Also, it is easier to create something in Revit not on the base of point cloud/model.

Thanks for answer my doubt
Im going to explain better my question (sorry if im not a very explicit, im not expert talking in english)
I have this “map” on CR:
(i make this with a dji drone video)
And i have a model in sketchup:
I want to make a video (render) or image (render) with the model placed on the terrain. I want use revit because i have seen te example, but, if it is necesary i can use others programs, (i usually make renders with Enscape, but i can use lumion)
PS: i want to make something like this:
¿which is the correct way to gen that?
So, it seems, that your data are not georeferenced. You need to export this model as a mesh. The good idea is to simplify it (not sure how big it is in RealityCapture), texture it and export in format which supports a software, where you want to open it. Then you will need to add there your building model and place it on a surface.
Also, for better terrain model is good to change the way, how you capture the video/images. You can find more there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e_NLp_FaUk&t=1s
