Project Personal Spa aka "rich guy's bathroom"

@Chesire: i tell what i think, may that be positive or negative.

I have to agree with the consensus, it just doesn’t feel well thought out. There are lots of odd things going on in this bathroom, such as the sofa and “relaxation” areas. I can’t see many people inviting guests into their bathroom to shower and relax on some sofas. I find the Corinthian columns stick out like a sore thumb too, that could be just personal taste though. I see where you’re coming from and understand the fun in designing without limits or restrictions but I think you’re getting way too defensive for a ‘fun’ design.

Right, but the material simply isn’t functional. Carpet will get damp and moldy, and wood floors will get wet and very quickly deteriorate. That is why we use materials like marble in bathrooms.

I agree with the other posters. We had assumed that you were looking for feedback and critique since you were posting your work on the arch viz forum, but it appears that you actually aren’t interested in the advice of other posters. I’ll assume that you’re just here to post some work you threw together and collect compliments.

We would be happy to help and offer advice. Building your lights, while it isn’t your intended goal, will go a long way in helping the audience to visualize the scene.

areas to get dry and relax

I don’t know about architecture thing or whatever. It’s a matter of taste, if his taste similar to Mike Tyson, just let him be.

Lets talk about technical. If you already achieved what you have in mind, Would you mind to show the finished scene? Please use stationary light, modify the post processing a little bit, and build the lighting? Scene like koola’s stuff, if you know him. Here his link

If you need some tutorial, this might help you I think.

I apologize if I asking to much. I only ask the finished scene just because you said you already achieved your goal.

If you don’t want to ‘‘waste’’ time on building a credible lighting you should at least spend some time correctly aligning your textures hehe!
This may be a cool personal learning project but no one’s gonna pay you actual money for a visualisation like that, let alone buy the design!

@: In response to this i got 3 inquiries from companies for paid projects/work, 2 VR projects and several game projects, 7 or 8 in total. They of course don’t want to buy the design of the bath (how can you even think i would try to sell that?), but like my work.
Even tho it was never was my goal to get inquiries (if you would just read my thread starting here), I have had lots of fun building it which is why i did it. you should try it too once.

And for all the lightning critics here: the design idea is already communicated with the existing lightning. The audience does would not get more “valuable” visualisation as the scene is understandable right now already, just look at the answers here in the posting. If I would spend time now on lightbuilds it would be to “show off”, but not improve the original creation idea.

Thats why I rather work creative and build new stuff instead.

And for all those, that are stuck in the “white walls & lightmass” trend here: remember there are many ways to visualise and transport an idea!
In the traditional art techniques these are sketches, illustrations, models and so on. With UEd we also can have a wide range of different ways to visualise but I don’t see them here. So let’s try something new!

Congrats man! These forums are amazing indeed.

some gold- or rather blondefish: small and large
