This is quite odd. Never seen anything like that before. The column states are saved in this file:
Saved\Config\WindowsEditor\EditorPerProjectUserSettings.ini
Perhaps you could look to see if there are duplicate entries in there for ColumnVisibilitySettings. Or just make a backup of that file and remove it to reset the columns.
