About Game:**

Police Simulator 1013 is more than a game. It’s a career simulator that gives you as the player the ability to grow as you play. When lead developer Matt Norman (aka Matrix) started playing games like Police Quest and then later the “Swat” series, he always wanted to feel more empowered in each situation and not rush through it like it was a level. In PS1013, there is no level as it’s completely open World. Each encounter you come across is it’s own situation where you are put on the spot to deal with an ever evolving city. Crime statistics grow if your city isn’t managed accordingly. Your goal is to take on the role of a rookie Police Cadet where you are trained at the Metro City Police Academy to deal with all types of criminal activity. Once you qualify, you are given a position with one of dozens of Police stations scattered around a ‘massive’ City scape. As you become more skilled in policing, opportunities come up for promotion and new career placements in different divisions. They include Swat, Narcotics, Police Rescue, Major Crime, Detective, Highway Patrol and even K9 unit where your partner is a dog that requires extra training.
What makes this simulator so big in it’s conception is that each role you choose to take brings on newer opportunities to play. One of the new features that will be introduced into a simulator is a fully working dispatch system. Our dispatch system is like a game within a game. The dispatchers goal is to view the city on a desktop computer and manage an ever growing police force within the city. Each officer will have a PDA or incar monitor that connects directly to dispatch. If you are at a motor vehicle accident then dispatch will see you out of service until that accident has been cleared. If you are cleared for another call, dispatch will immediately know where you are and direct you and other units in the area to patrol certain areas of the city or give you calls to back up fellow officers. If a human player can’t take on the role of dispatch it automatically goes through to the new city AI dispatch system. This is all done using voice commands through your headset as well as special key commands or mouse menu’s on your PDA and in-car computer. Every player will experience the game differently every time they log in. Once logged in you will start at the Police Station you’ve been assigned. There, you will get a briefing by your station sergeant (AI) of all the activity that has gone on during the last shift. It’s your goal to note down persons of interest or calls that haven’t been cleared so that your shift starts with calls to do. Its a simulator where other players are relying on you to stay focused and to back each other up. Once you climb the ladder in Police Simulator 1013 you will be given special goals that are defined in your career path. Example, if you are a Narcotics officer you won’t be called to a MVA (Motor Vehicle accident). Although sometimes you will see a uniformed officer who needs assistance and you may be called on to help get the situation under control. There is never a dull moment. Investigations are also ongoing as an officer. If you become a detective you will be required to investigate major crime incidents like bank robberies or even murder. You’ll need to follow certain suspects and talk to witness’s. Don’t solve a crime and it’s lost. Continue that trend and you might want to consider another department.
