I can’t answer for them, but they’re pretty generous about letting people into their beta.
It’s also come a long way, I use SK now in a commercial project after playing with it for a long time in the beta, it’s stable enough for me to commit to it these days.
The main reason we have the UE4 plugin in closed beta is that we have been waiting for code plugin capability in the Unreal Marketplace. According to Epic Games that tech is supposed to be up and running this Q1 - maybe even in a few days or a week or two away. (Current estimate from Epic for UE4.11 is March 28.)
No matter what though - we plan to make the UE4 plugin publicly downloadable at the start of the Game Developer Conference when the Expo starts on March 16!
As VFe says - since we are so close, we pretty much accept everybody into the beta right now. So if you cannot wait for March 16 - apply for the beta now.
Thanks VFe for the words of support and confidence.

So, I really dig your guys’ general feature set, and you have a really nice set of accompanying tools all really well-integrated into the engine.
But, man, that syntax. It’s brutal.
