Physics on character

Any advice on why this is happening when simulating physics? the limbs are swinging through the body. collision is enabled on the capsules.

I found that by changing a few constraints, I can avoid some of the limb clipping during physics simulation. I will paste a video from YouTube By CodeLikeMe where the presenter goes over how to make minor alterations to constraints to achieve better physics results.
