Hi,
I know I can filter the mesh based on the “reconstruction region” (I wonder whether this is misnamed, as it’s kind of a multi-purpose region as this demonstrates). But I’ve just discovered that if I mark triangles inside or outside region and apply, then go back to the filtered model, the region has gone.
That makes it difficult to do an exact partition of a model into two parts. Can you make the reconstruction region survive application of a filter?
Numerical definition of region limits would be useful and an alternative.

Hi Chris
Go to https://www.capturingreality.com/My and download the newest build - RealityCapture version 1.0.2.2091 RC
In the RECONSTRUCTION ribbon you can find the RECONSTRUCTION REGION export and IMPORT buttons. So you can easily export and import the region.
Thanks!
Is there any way of being notified when a new version is out? I’ve been waiting for this update, and thought RC would tell me when it was available, but seems that doesn’t happen. No mention of it in the web site news, and my new feed under /my is empty. Is there a mailing list?

Have the automatic updates turned on in the program: WORKFLOW tab / Settings / Automatic updates - True. You can also manually check for updates there.
We also notify you here in the forum and our Facebook group.
There is no newsletter for now.
