Packaging fails when adding .STEP assembly file via Datasmith

Hoping for best practice/ process flow guidance.

A packaging error occurs in Unreal Engine when adding a .STEP file to a project using the Datasmith plugin, resulting in a Windows packaging failure with limited error information.

Defined that this is the failure mode as been experimenting with 5.2 - 5.4 Blank projects, whereby packaging is effective when nothing is added, but after a single .STEP assembly file is imported using the Datasmith plugin the packaging fails.

Only information for me to investigate in the Output Log is “PackagingResults: Error: Unknown Error” as the final line, with “UATHelper: Packaging (Windows): UnrealBuildTool failed” three lines up.
