Nothing Works Good[When im Converting a Project] on Standalone i dont got an Error.

Hope someone can Help me because i get the Error too when i hit the Play Button…

I’ve recently build VXGI for 4.15

Everything looks great, but I’m having issues using this feature with the Vive, since it looks like that the left and right eye do not render the same thing…

Basically the left eye render a dark image, while the right eye render a blown out white image of the same thing…

Anyone else has this issue?

It is necessary to merge VXGI with VRWorks in order to have VR render properly?

Hello, do you maybe know if this is already fixed in the 4.16 VXGI version? If not, should I just move back to the 4.14 version or is there anything specific I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Looks like a bunch of vxgi was just meged and complete for 4.17, maybe there is a new build available. https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/pull/3947

I’ve been trying out 4.17.

I’m getting horrible stuttering.

This is with a blank project, but it doesn’t just persist graphically, it affects the entire editor. I can’t develop anything because i have to time my clicks to be in the high framerate part of the stutter.

My system settings:
i7 6700k
32gb RAM
GTX 1080
Windows 10.

Hei Almighty, my machine is not as powefull as yours, but it works ok if I set r.VXGI.MapSize to 64.

is this the same for the waveworks branch please ?

Yes, the same.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve tried this in editor, and in ConsoleVariables.ini to make sure it runs at startup. Neither helped.

Also, is the editor supposed to compile shaders every time you start it?

it worked , thanks

That’s strange. I’ve had (lots) of issues with ConsoleVariables.ini, but if I type r.VXGI.MapSize 64 in the console it works on my machine.
About the shaders: no it’s not, and it never happened to me unless it is the first time I run the engine or asked the engine to do it in shaderdevelopmentmode.
Sorry but I don’t know how to help you.

I’ve noticed that In VR-Basic template level VXGI doesn’t work - probably because it uses engine’s materials and not project’s. It also confused me for a short time - so maybe that is the case?

Yeah unfortunately for me, the problem persists whether it’s a blank level, an existing project, anything. I’m due for a format soon so i’ll probably try after that. who knows.

404 error while being signed in – Is this tool still being used at all?

https://github.com/NvPhysX/UnrealEngine/tree/VXGI-4.17

I have access but it reports a 404 error. It looks like there is a problem here

You have to link your GitHub and your Unreal Engine account => Unreal Engine 4 on GitHub - Unreal Engine

I’ve rebuilt the engine without doing anything different and now I see VXAO working. Although at some areas it doesn’t work as intended regardless of how many cones I have.

The VXGI build has become pretty buggy unfortunately,

If I have a landscape somewhere in my level VXGI would work, if I don’t have a landscape there’d be no VXGI.

VXGI : Is there any way to increse diffuse intesity (color) of movable object? I am working on VXGI Unreal engine.

Here is what getting using VXGI. I want to increase the color level of diffuse on a white wall.
