Buying 1070 and waiting for 1080ti seems like most reasonable idea. I have a feeling that 1080ti will crush the 1080. Especially if 1070 is equal to 980ti.
Also 1080 is not great in 4k (it pulls ~45fps in most of the tested games) so its still not worth the money for 4k gaming.
anyone got random not responding with epic launcher and unreal engine using gtx 1080?
i’m on win 10 64bit and using both 368.25 and 368.39 result in random not responding for both launcher and engine
for now i’m using my old gtx 980 with 362.00 driver and all is good
but that means i can’t using gtx 1080 
i wonder if it’s driver problem?

I was also hyped by 1080 but as soon as I smelled a 1080 Ti I decided to skip 1070 and 1080.
