the algorithm tries to find the best detail so that the overall unwrap will fit the texture size and textures count. It is not predictable because of the model dependent shape, number, and size of the charts. Therefore, it can happen that it repeats the process several times. I recommend to lower the gutter size to the value 2, or 1, and try again.
