No decent tutorials on creating advanced menus with UMG

Basically you add widgets inside the master component. Any widget or UMG you created should be available to select from the list of items under the “custom” (or something similar) tab.
If you expose the correct variables - and the widget itself uses them within the creation event/function - then you can change those variables on the fly like you would with any button.

Thanks. Exactly what I did, Unfortunately I thought this method was the workaround :), It seemed that bad to do that I thought.

I was expecting someone will tell me to just “Group” the custom button and duplicate it in the same Widget or UMG setup while having access to the children all the time without resorting to other files.To top it all I spend 90% of the time fighting to keep the text, Positions, Anchors etc… in place than animating and designing buttons. At times I simply re-import the same design with just one Letter changed inside the image and everything goes crazy in the Widget! I don’t understand how a “Re-import” destroys positions and scale of an already placed image with absolutely zero changes to it.

For the record in one particular case it took over 3 days of struggle trying to get a menu up with UMG and not achieving it right, took 2 days to setup an entire menu system from scratch using BP’s.
Maybe our brains are wired differently. It seems I lost trust in it.
