Nimikko - Shibuya - Game ready environment

Video of the environment available here

The only commercially available 3D recreation of Shibuya crossing at 1:1 scale for Unreal Engine. This environment covers nearly 1 square kilometer of accurately mapped Tokyo streetscape, including the iconic crossing and surrounding districts.

What's included:

  • Over 200 detailed buildings with accurate exteriors matching real-world architecture

  • 160+ background buildings to prevent visual boundaries

  • 750+ billboards and signage with 148 3D store signs (fictional names)

  • 550+ environmental props including streetlights, bicycles, and street furniture

  • Select buildings feature furnished interiors; others provide empty shells for customization

Technical specs:

  • Optimized for games and VR experiences

  • Shared master material system for easy scene-wide modifications

  • Built-in weather effects in master material (wet surfaces, snow simulation)

  • Assets averaged at 2000-3000 polygons for performance optimization

Use cases: Game development, VR experiences, video backgrounds, and digital art references.

All building layouts, street patterns, and prop placement mirror real-world Shibuya geography while using fictional branding to avoid trademark issues.

Warning shown on the 3D view:
[VSM] Non-Nanite Marking Job Queue overflow. Performance may be affected. This occurs when many non-nanite meshes cover a large area of the shadow map.

Looks like there’re too many meshes with BLEND_Translucent materials (which will be non-nanite)
so this scene is quite heavy.
Any idea on this?

If UE5.6 Nanite is covering these translucent materials I’ll move up to 5.6,
but as far as I know there’s no such information.
