That tutorial is for an open-source project (Tracked Vehicles 2nd link in my signature). There is a new version with more features and better performance - Machinery Modelling Toolkit (1st link in my signature). Not everything is covered by tutorials but there are examples for pretty much all features. The forum thread itself is over 40 pages now and contains a lot of useful information.
