Hey there @Chaotyx91! You can find the recommended hardware requirements here:
This laptop for the most part covers the bases for minimum hardware, but falls a little short for recommended hardware.
Recommended Hardware
Operating System | Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 revision .1350 or higher, or versions 2004 and 20H2 revision .789 or higher |
Processor | Quad-core Intel or AMD, 2.5 GHz or faster |
Video RAM | 8 GB RAM |
Graphics Card | DirectX 11 or 12 compatible graphics card with the latest drivers |
The laptop you’re looking into has a base speed of 2.0GHz but can be increased (as per it’s description) via it’s clocking. Know this can cause extra heat or wear and tear especially with laptops.
The GPU (1650) has 4gb of VRAM, and the recommended is at least 8gb. This isn’t a hard and fast requirement but you will definitely feel the pressure and won’t be able to use higher end rendering features effectively.
Since it’s a laptop be careful with heat, I understand the need for a mobile workstation for school, but thermal throttling is always a concern when working with heavier programs like unreal so be wary.
