MultiEdit - Collaborative Level Editing Plugin

Hi ,

We would certainly have a use for the plugin if you released an early version that only covered moving and manipulating objects in the world (i.e. not worrying about sharing assets, creating new blueprints, etc). We just need to be able to collaboratively edit a single level in a rather basic way. That would be so useful! We’d absolutely pay for that.

How goes the development, ? Really looking forward to use this plugin.

Hello, are there any news about this plugin?

Hi there, just chiming in to say that I’d also get a crazy amount of use out of this, even if its just placing assets.

I’m curious as well, but it seems he’s on vacation right now, according to his twitter: Yanniiiiiiiick/status/625078340748210176

really need this plugin! work work, release, please!

Hey guys! Yeah I was in Brazil for a few weeks! Right now I am consulting a student project but working on MultiEdit whenever I can! Fixing stuff for 4.8. Also building a lock system, so you can only change stuff that is not locked by another user.

Omg! thats EPIC!, i really want to test that with my friend to finish a project, exists a possibility to download this right now?.

I. Want. This. Great job

This is really awesome - I can’t wait to try it out!

Having an eye on this one. Looks promising!

Hi , this plugin looks awesome…
can"t wait for the release

Hi , do you have an ETA for this plugin? Thanks and keep the good work.

We can certainly use this. Keep on the great work.

This reminds me of Tesseract’s cooperative editing feature.

Would be cool if the two engines fused. Then we would have cooperative BSP editing.

At the very least you guys can use that until then and export your levels later https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fOpHRrOBJQ

Hey everyone, I have been silent on this thread but that doesn’t mean I am not working on MultiEdit. First I want to mention that I am going to Epic HQ in the next few week and work as an intern for 5 months (not on MultiEdit  ). But that probably have impact on the development of MultiEdit.

I still believe in the concept of MultiEdit, but a while ago I had a skype call with and he also mentioned it in a twitch steam that it is really hard to make this concept “fool proof”. I agree on this with him. UE4 is not build for a concept like this, that doesn’t mean it is impossible though!

Anyway, I have been refactoring the old code and it is now working on the newer versions of the engine.

Awesome news, it really sounds amazing, hope becomes a great feature of ue4 and hope you enjoy your intership too.

Any news ?

Yeah I have property synching, it’s kind of a hack and it needs to be optimized, but it’s working. Right now I just need to fix a really annoying bug that is hard to debug.

Hi. When it be possible to test the plug-in?)
