This is one of those things that has bothered me for years and I’ve just dealt with it. I thought I might as well ask in case anyone has a solution to this minor frustration.
When selecting multiple static meshes in a level and duplicating them using “alt + a translation tool” to drag them across or rotate them the pivot point always jumps from it’s current location to one of the other meshes, seemingly at random, in the selection.
I’ve still been able to work with it all these years but it is a minor frustration every time it happens and I perform this action thousands of times when blocking out levels.
If anyone knows how to fix this weird little quirk/bug so that the duplicate multi-selection keeps the same object as the translation/rotation origin it would really help.
Cheers,
Chris
