Moving a project to my onedrive and accessing it from another computer

I moved my packaged UE5 project to my onedrive, and tried to access it from another computer using the same onedrive. It gave me an error saying the descriptor file failed to load. I’m planning on putting the game on Itch.io. Will the packaged project do the same thing on itch, or is it just a onedrive problem?

hi @Thressnoriynne
Unreal Engine 5 and Unreal Engine Fortnite (UEFN) do not support OneDrive.

You can use OneDrive to copy the project as a zip file to OneDrive.

Copy the zip to one drive and restore and unzip it to a real path

like C:\Users\Owner\source\repos
NOT
C:\Users\Owner\ OneDrive \Documents\Unreal Projects

UEFN gives a warning message about NOT using OneDrive

Windows 11 uses OneDrive by default standard

How do I copy something with OneDrive?

Hey @Thressnoriynne!

OneDrive is not supported.

Try using Google Drive instead, that should work just fine! And if that works, uploading to itch should work as well- just make sure to download and test it afterwards!

How do I upload the exe file to Google Drive?

It’s easy! All you have to do is go to your google drive, then on the top left use the “+ New” button!

So after that, how do I get into the file from the drive?

Here you go!
