Change the default pawn in the game mode from the default character to your character in world details panel or open the game mode BP and edit it there.
in the side scroller template example, i removed the default actor character from the world outliner, and i’m trying to get a paper character to have movement.
when i hit play in the view port, the default character keeps appearing as though i never deleted him and my paper charter has no movement.
i’ve tried doing this in the event graph for the paper character blueprint to no avail.
hey thanks, but that option is greyed out. any ideas on that?
Ok, then create your own game mode bp and set it for that map and set it in your project settings under maps and modes.
