Hello All!!
I was just wondering if it is possible to use “regular” meshes with Effectors. Lets say you have a group of objects, and you want to animate the scale of each one, using the effectors. Also if its possible, to do the same thing, but with an object that have various parts. In this case, in C4d for example, you could use the fracture to separte them, and then use the effectors.
The answer is Yes in UE5.6. There is a new cloner type called “free placement”
Free Placement - Take several actors, place them under your cloner in whichever way that you‘d like, and offset their position with the Range or Step property to create awesome build-on animations.
This is a brand-new thing I just discovered. For an object with various parts, you probably have to separate it. Maybe the modeling tools in Unreal can help.
I make it work also in UE 5.5. You can use a cloner type mesh or line. You just need to enter the number of objects in the count field. The only problem when using Line cloner mode, is that to get the offset of the objects you need to find the right number for spacing. Also you can use the step mode, but then i am having problem with scale, as i understand particles cant have a negative value?! or there is a way to make it negative?
