More control over DOF

Hi there, we are experimenting a lot with twinmotion at our office and are very intrigued by it. We would love to use it more.

My question is related to the depth of field option within a still. Looking at the picture attached here, i've placed the focus on the roofing of the building in the back, but it's hard to notice any DOF in the front. We would like to be able to have more control over the start/end of the DOF.

The DOF is more noticeable when an object is very close by it seems. Would be greate if we could get a strong bokeh.

Thank you and good luck with development :)

Hello ,

Thanks for your feedback.

Right now, the DOF effect is primarily affected by the Distance value and the FOV, with lower FOV values making the effect more pronounced. This generally makes it more useful for interior shots, or when up close to the subject of focus and the background needs to be blurred, and less useful in wider angle exterior shots.

I'll be sure to pass your feedback along to the team to see if more settings can be exposed to offer more control, but please also submit it on our Public Roadmap here.

Best,
