Hi,
I’m wondering if there is tutorial or if you could run through the process for creating a project with mixed sources.
I have laserscan data thats in GDA94, and photography shot with gps in wgs 84.
I’d like to output this near zero, with offset xy and correct z.
I’ve tried project coordinate to gda94, and output coordinate at local. as well and both at GDA94.
but both seem to have the wrong rotation in the rc viewport. its out by 90degrees.
thanks
chris
Hi Chris
any screenshots?
If it’s rotated by 90deg, it can be an issue with wrong orientation, laser scans keep it but images can overweigh it…
I have had just laserscan work correctly by itself. (though it was probably set to local:local)
I don’t have any ground control points yet (just tie).
but I will be adding those later, which will be in GDA.
Ideally I’d like to get this so i can work smoothly in and out of 3d software. but also be able to export geo-referenced ortho maps.
Hi Chris
So to sum it up, you need to export the project in local coordinates ( XY changed, NOT the Z height )
Laser -> GDA94
Images -> WGS84
OUTPUT -> shifted LOCAL XY, keeps Z from the laser data ?
yes that sounds right.
I will want the model exported like that. But i will also want the option to export an ortho map geo-referenced in GDA94.
I also plan on added ground control points, which will probably be in GDA too.
thanks
Hi Chris
Go to WORKFLOW->SETTINGS->COORDINATE SYSTEM and set GDA as the project coordinate system. Then you will get the coordinates the right way. Set the PROJECT OUTPUT SYSTEM as LOCAL or GDA depending on what you need as the result.
It will be easier when you select laser scans as LOCKED if they are still flipped.
