Metasound nit working at all for any other computer than mine ( the one that exported the game)

Hi, I’m making a game and I started using Metasound. I created my Metasounds, implemented them in character steps, sounds, etc. They look perfectly fine and work, but after export, none of my friends can hear the sound (I tried on 7 different computers). It is a multiplayer game, so when I’m connected, I can hear all the steps all characters make; it works as intended, but none of my friends can hear a thing, just voice chat and menu music (that’s all they can hear); the rest is silent. Any idea what might cause it? P.S. It does not matter if I’m the host or not.

Greetings @RWoj

Welcome to the Unreal Engine Forum! Are your sound cues etc marked for replication? (Especially any that are attached to a character)

Hi there @RWoj

I noticed you hadn’t responded. Were you able to resolve it?

hi, sorry unfortunately I haven’t. sound cues for replication? how do i do it? i cant see any option on the details panel for sounds. if it comes to sounds made by doors etc yes they are replicated but unfortunately no one can hear except me ( even if I’m not the host) also my friends cant hear they own sounds (steps etc) so they have a complete silence. only when we return to menu/lobby they can hear music playing in background

Oh, I see. Instead of trying to “replicate a sound,” replicate the event and then play the sound locally on each client. You do this with a Multicast RPC.

unfortunately no improvement :frowning: the sound works perfectly on my pc after export / in editor it is just after export for some reason dose nothing on other PCs

I’ll do some testing tonight and see if I can find an alternative solution. I’ll post back ASAP.
