If you are being redirected to the Metahuman site, it most likely means that the Core of the feature is not installed, which would make sense, as that selection is done when installing UE from scratch.
To confirm if your UE install has Metahuman core, check the options menu. If Metahuman Creator Core Data is not listed, then please reinstall UE, and make sure to select it during setup.
