MetaHuman 1.3.0 makes it easier than ever share, collaborate, and iterate on characters, together with a new resource that enables you to edit various aspects of the MetaHuman DNA file for customization and/or pipeline integration.
This release not only gives users the ability to share their MetaHumans with other Epic Games accounts with the Simple Sharing feature and now users can edit MetaHuman DNA files through an API.
Simple Sharing
Users now have the ability to export and import MetaHumans from within MetaHuman Creator, allowing for sharing between user accounts.
DNA Calibration
When downloading MetaHumans through Quixel Bridge into UE, the MetaHuman DNA files will now be available in the following folder:
MetaHumans/{MetaHumanName}/SourceAssets
You will be able to:
- evaluate animations in ControlRig by dragging this file onto a skeletal mesh.
- Modify the MetaHuman DNA file by using the MetaHuman DNA Calibration API.
