It’s all good obviously, especially since Hallatore took no offense. Far too often people take credit for others’ works or hijack the popularity of someone’s product to promote their own. Which was why I foamed at the mouth there - this was a thread about MeshBlend, and you linked to your product. That’s what I saw. No toxicity there, I was calling it what it was. Speaking up about potential product cross-posting isn’t toxic, that’s being vigilant
It’s a quality I won’t censor myself from. Our communities could use a little sharp honesty and calling things out like this. I’d rather be wrong and sound like a crazy person than for everyone to idly watch hijacking or theft and so on. Alas, since the creator is cool with it, all is good in the universe!
Im thinking of purchasing it but still am not 100% sure. Does meshblend replace the need for RVT? I know RVT had some issues with Nanite. Would Meshblend be a more performant option with nanite landscape and meshes compared to RVT?
MeshBlend version 3.0 for UE5 is getting close!
I wanted to show some clips from the playable demo using the upcoming 3.0 update. The demo is available over at https://meshblend.lervik.com/
I made the demo with lots of settings, edge-cases, etc. You can even profile it using unreal insights! I feel this is important since a video or screenshot never truly show how it will work in your scene. So check out the demo if you are curious!
Update 3.0 will increase the quality even more, while perf stays the same or better! Really looking forward to this release!
