Maps that were published as "deactivated" seem to be blacklisted from discovery?

I have 2 maps that I had finished and submitted in march and early april but due to the new discovery changes affecting new islands I decided to upload them as deactivated rather than listed or unlisted until I was ready to release them.

And so I finally reactivated and released one, then the other a week or more later and not a single one of them even got a chance at discovery. fortnite.gg says no data in the discovery section for both maps. I even updated both of them multiple times, some days later… nothing.

So do I just abandon these maps just because I selected deactivated when I published it the first time? The thumbnails and gameplay are all good on both, they should’ve hit discovery atleast been given a chance but not at all on these.

Anyone have some insight? Can I save these maps or is it a waste of time and I should just move on?

Hi @NotNormann
I hope everything is going well.

There is a document which talks about your problem and the process to reactivate your island.

You have to go at the end of the page, there is a section called Reactivating Islands with the step by step.

I hope it works for you!

Hi,

The issue is not reactivating the island, it’s after reactivating it the island does not go into discovery like that document said it would. Tried this on both maps after multiple updates.
