Major inconsistency in Blueprints Quick Start Guide

Hello. I’m learning Unreal Engine throught tutorials and stumbled upon a really frustrating and embarrassing inconsistency in Blueprints Quick Start Guide.

So, here is the thing. In the firstchapter I’m told that I am to use a First Person Blueprint as a template for the project. But a second chapter uses assets that are not from there. And then chapter #3 clearly made using Sidescroller Blueprint setup and assets!

You know it is not that easy to learn engine as it is. And now I also have to follow contradictory instructions. Heck, I am still have to look if I had to add some assets from Sidescroller into First Person project to finish tutorial. Or maybe I have to start all over again, because FPS Blueprint apparantly has HUD that I’m supposed to make in this tutorial!

So, please sort this guide out and fix it.

Hey @LootHunter, thanks for bringing this to our attention. I just finished fixing up the Blueprints Quick Start Guide page, and it’s now in our new format. All of the steps are now easily accessible on one page and can be quickly browsed by clicking the section in the table of contents (On this page) located on the right side of the screen. If you’re still seeing the old info, you may need to clear the cache in your browser. Let us know if you experience any other issues with the page.

Great! Thank you.
